Bio:

Emanuele Guerrazzi, MSc, is a PhD student in Smart Industry at the Department of Information Engineering at the University of Pisa, Italy. He holds a MSc in Management Engineering from the University of Pisa, Italy. He spent a visiting period at the Center for Collective Intelligence at MIT Sloan School of Management in 2019. His scientific interests concern Business Process Management, Operations Management, Logistics and Simulation. Other activities: I participated in the MIT-UNIPI project in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA) to explore the impact of human and environmental factors on the performance of a semi-automated logistics hub. I’m currently involved in a financed project by a leader company regarding performance improvement of a fully-automated tire warehouse.

Interests:

Business Process Management, Operations Management, Warehousing and Simulation.

Research Topic:

My research is focus mainly on automated and semi-automated warehouse management and its optimization. I want to achieve these goals by studying several scenarios and algorithms using simulation and other data-driven tools.
