Short BIO:

Alessandro Bartolini was born on 31 October 1992 in Florence. received the B.S. degree in Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering and the M.S. degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Florence, Florence, Italy, in 2015 and 2018. He is currently a PhD Student in Smart Industry with Pegaso scholarship and jointly by the three universities in the Tuscany area (University of Pisa, University of Florence, University of Siena).

Smart Industry, Precision Farming, IoT, Monitoring System, Data Analysis, Wireless Sensor Network, Reliability

Research topic:

His research activities focus on hardware and software design for precision smart farming in order to prevent plant diseases and automate farm management.

Oher activities:

During the master’s thesis he joined the NATO-funded project G5014 “Holographic and Impulse Subsurface Radar for Landmine and IED Detection”, with the purpose of developing a remote-operable, multi-sensors robot for detection of UXO, mines, and IEDs based on subsurface radar with imaging and target classification.
