For Foreign Students:
The evaluation of the foreign degree is subject to the assessment of the suitability of the degree itself, solely for the purpose of admission to the PhD program, by the examining commission in compliance with the current regulations in Italy and the country where the degree was awarded, as well as international treaties or agreements on the recognition of degrees for the continuation of studies that assess the equivalence in terms of level, nature, content (equivalent to one of the master’s degree classes listed above, or obtained in the areas of Industrial and Information Engineering, or Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Agricultural and Forestry Sciences) and academic rights (access to further courses) to the Italian academic degree required for admission to the PhD.
Examination Tests:
There is no written test. The oral test consists of an interview aimed at assessing the candidate’s aptitude for scientific research, verifying their potential for integration into the research activities of interest to the PhD program, their willingness to undertake experiences abroad (of at least 3/6 months), and their interest in scientific deepening. The candidate will be specifically asked to illustrate the project they have submitted, in order to highlight their project management skills. The interview also includes a verification of English language proficiency at least at level B2. The interview can also be conducted via videoconference, with appropriate checks and controls on the candidate’s identity.
Other:
Notes on the Curriculum: It should cover the university and non-university educational path, professional and research experiences. It will be given an overall evaluation with a score accompanied by a reasoned judgment.
Notes on the Research Project: A maximum of 3 pages plus bibliography, must be presented in English, indicating: the objective of the research project; the methodology planned for achieving the objective; expected impact.
