Engineering Desing, Innovation Management, New Product Development (NPD), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Multimodal Machine Learning
My research activity is focused on Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and Visual-Language (NLP) models. These computer-based approaches are used to automate the extraction of technical knowledge from both textual content and images which are contained in various technical documents such as patent documents and process manuals. I am particularly interest in studying how NLP and VL methods for information extraction can be leveraged to support engineers and designers throughout the Engineering Desing (ED) process.
